Dr. Koch is the owner and clinical director at Psychology and Learning Center. He is a licensed psychologist and certified school psychologist with over fifteen years of clinical experience completing clinical and school-based evaluations as well as performing individual therapy with adolescents. Dr. Koch sees children and adults across the lifespan, and his areas of interest and expertise include understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of complex neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and learning disabilities; diagnosis and treatment of attachment and trauma-related disorders; and providing educational and behavioral consultation. Dr. Koch received his B.A. in psychology from Thiel College, and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study and Ph.D. from Duquesne University in School Psychology.
D.J. Dennison, Psy.D., is a licensed psychologist and certified school psychologist. He has worked in Beaver County for over 5 years in both the clinical and school settings. He is passionate about working with individuals and families experiencing emotional difficulties, traumas, and learning difficulties. Dr. Dennison received a Bachelor of Science (B.S) in Psychology from Allegheny College and a Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D) from Duquesne University. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, National Association of School Psychologists, and Association of School Psychologists of Pennsylvania.
Jenna Hennessey is a licensed psychologist who specializes in providing comprehensive outpatient evaluations in the areas of neuropsychological sequelae of developmental and acquired neurological impairment. Dr. Hennessey earned her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University. She also earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Child Psychology and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in School Psychology at Duquesne University. She completed an internship and postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology at The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh. Dr. Hennessey is also employed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational and School Psychology at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, National Association of School Psychologists, and Pennsylvania Psychological Association.
Sarah Rea is a licensed psychologist providing comprehensive outpatient psychological and neuropsychological evaluations and consultation for a variety of behavioral and affective disorders. Her areas of interest and expertise include diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, and learning disabilities. Dr. Rea received her B.A. in Psychology from Westminster College, her M.S.Ed in Child Psychology from Duquesne University, and her Ph.D. in School Psychology from Duquesne University. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, National Association of School Psychologists, and Pennsylvania Psychological Association. Dr. Rea will be leading our PCIT program, coming to PLC in mid-2024.
Emily Quince is a post-doctoral psychologist providing outpatient and neuropsychological evaluations for a range of emotional and behavioral disorders. She works with patients across the lifespan and her areas of interest include mental health disorders, behavioral and conduct disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Dr. Quince earned her B.S. in Psychology and B.A. in Criminology from the University of Florida. She then went on to earn her M.S.Ed in Child Psychology and Ph.D. in School Psychology from Duquesne University.
Blair Suppes, M.A., NCC, LPC is a licensed professional counselor who is certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors. Blair specializes in providing outpatient therapy for children and adolescents dealing with anxiety, depression, and social interaction/behavioral difficulties as well as children diagnosed with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Blair also works closely with parents in developing strategies to deal with their children’s hard to manage behaviors at home. Blair received her B.A. in Psychology from Ashland University and M.A. in Counseling from Geneva College. Blair is only able to offer tele-health appointments.
Haylee Sutter is a licensed social worker and graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a Master’s of Social Work. She has been working in therapy and with children with behavioral concerns and autism for more than 8 years. Haylee provides services through our outpatient office in Monaca. Haylee’s specialties include children and adolescent development and behavior problems, various mood disorders (including depression, anxiety and bipolar disorders), personality disorders, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Haylee has experience working with all age groups and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Alexis Wright is a pre-licensed therapist who specializes in outpatient and school-based therapy for children and adolescents dealing with anxiety, depression, social interaction/behavioral difficulties as well as ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Alexis has extensive experience as a Behavior Specialist Consultant (BSC) and Mobile Therapist (MT) and will work closely with parents on behavior management techniques in the home. Alexis received her B.S. from Clarion University and M.A. in Counseling at Geneva College.
Kori Shearer, MS, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor. Kori offers integrated therapy that typically includes a client-centered model and incorporates aspects of humanistic therapy, mentalization-based therapy, psychoanalytic therapy, interpersonal therapy, supportive therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and existential therapy to create individualized goals and treatment planning. Kori is dedicated to providing an intersectional approach to therapy that is sensitive to the unique needs that may present for members of various marginalized communities. She aims to work in collaboration with clients through the process of enhancing their mental health to ensure their lived experiences and personal goals are honored and respected through treatment. She most often works with individuals with autism spectrum disorder and/or transgender individuals, nonbinary individuals, or otherwise genderqueer-identifying individuals. Kori received her B.A. from Penn State University and M.S. in Mental Health Counseling at Capella University.
Emily LeJeune, M.S., LPC is a licensed professional counselor with more than 10 years of experience in the mental health field. Utilizing a holistic and person-centered approach, Emily strives to create a safe and inviting environment to help others reach their individual wellness goals. Emily’s passion is to help each client experience happiness, balance, and healing.
Emily obtained a B.S. from Slippery Rock University and M.S. in Professional Counseling at Carlow University. Emily holds clinical experience working with all ages as well as the LGBTQIA+ community. Catherine C. Sittig, M.A., LPC, is a licensed professional counselor with experience providing individual and family outpatient therapy, school-based therapy, mobile therapy, behavior consultation, and social service coordination. Catherine’s areas of interest and clinical experience include work with a wide range of neurodevelopmental, behavioral, emotional, stress, trauma, mood, and personality disorders. She also specializes in counseling individuals coping with grief and loss, chronic and terminal illnesses, and disabilities. Catherine is passionately committed to professional development, advocacy, and delivering evidence-based culturally informed counseling interventions to individuals and families of all ages across the life span. Catherine received her B.S. in Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University and her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Waynesburg University. Jordan Reinke, M.S. is a pre-licensed child therapist. She has extensive experience providing therapeutic services in both educational and community settings as a Behavior Specialist Consultant (BSC) and Mobile Therapist (MT) where she focused primarily on addressing maladaptive behaviors and the emotional needs of children. Jordan earned her Bachelor’s. in Psychology from the University of Akron with a minor in Child Development then continued her education at Duquesne University where she earned her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Sonja Cullum is a graduate from Liberty University with a masters in Professional Counseling. She is licensed in both NY and PA. She holds a specialized certification as a Clinical Trauma Professional with training in EMDR. Sonja is a seasoned professional with experience working with diverse ages and populations. She specializes in developmental trauma, attachment, foster care and adoption, children with behavioral difficulties, depression, anxiety and relational issues. Sonja integrates client centered approaches such as Family Systems, CBT, Faith-Based, mindfulness and other therapies catered to each individual client with the goal of promoting lifelong healing and change.
Dr. Snyder is a licensed professional counselor with experience in providing individual and family outpatient therapy, mobile therapy, behavior consultation, and group therapy in inpatient psychiatric and partial hospitalization settings. Lauren’s areas of interest and clinical experience include memory disorders associated with neurological disorders and traumatic brain injuries (TBI), neurocognitive disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, and mood disorders. Lauren earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Geneva College and is currently working toward her Doctor of Psychology degree from Carlow University.
Rachel Smith, MS, NCC is certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors, and provides outpatient therapy for adults dealing with depression, anxiety, social and relationship issues, and trauma related concerns. Rachel’s therapeutic orientation is focused on Reality Therapy, which assists clients in increasing insight into the choices they make and how it can help them take control of improving their lives. Rachel also specializes in working with adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Rachel received her B.A. in Psychology and M.S. in Professional Counseling from Carlow University.
Jason Zellem, ME, is a pre-licensed therapist who earned his Bachelor’s degree in Education from Geneva College and Master’s degree in Counseling from Liberty University. He has over 20 years of experience providing counseling services to children as well as over 10 years providing these services to families and adults. Jason is a father of three children and he continues to learn more about counseling and helping others every day. He specializes in meeting people where they are in order to help them identify goals, barriers, positive aspects of their lives, and the steps to start down the path to success, and if needed, maybe a little “magic” along the way!
Kristi Blosl, M.S., LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience providing individual and family outpatient therapy, school based therapy, behavior modification and service coordination. Kristi specializes in working with children and adolescents dealing with depression, anxiety, social interaction / behavioral difficulties, as well as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ODD and trauma related disorders. Kristi received her B.S. from Slippery Rock University and MSW from the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Jered Kolbert provides individual counseling to adolescents and adults and conducts couple and family counseling. He uses a variety of theoretical approaches including mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), emotion-focused therapy (EFT), Bowenian and structural family systems therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Dr. Kolbert is experienced in providing services to persons experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, family of origin issues, substance abuse and other compulsive behaviors, and issues with gender identity and sexual orientation.
Dr. Kolbert is a licensed professional counselor (LPC). He received his Ph.D. in Counseling from The College of William and Mary. Dr. Kolbert has been a professor of counseling at Duquesne University since 2011. Dr. Kolbert has published numerous research articles and co-authored four counseling books.

Jocelyn Smith, MA, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor. Jocelyn received her B.A from Geneva College and M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Geneva College.
Jocelyn’s area of clinical experience includes working in the community as a Behavior Specialist Consultant/Mobile Therapist for wraparound as well as in Family Based Therapy where the focus is on the system utilizing existing strengths and identifying patterns of interaction.

Elizabeth French, LPC NCC is a Licensed Professional Counselor certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors. Elizabeth uses a holistic and client centered approach to work with children, teens, and adults with a diverse range of neurodevelopmental, mood, trauma, and behavioral conditions, as well as life transitions. Elizabeth is a certified preK -12th grade school counselor in both Pennsylvania and Virginia. Elizabeth has varied experience in outpatient counseling, school-based counseling, and school guidance counseling. Elizabeth received her bachelor’s in psychology from Slippery Rock University and her master’s in counseling from Geneva College.
Jackson Kent, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker who has been working as an individual and family therapist for the last 10 years. Jackson earned his master’s at The Silberman School of Social Work and has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Oberlin College.
Jackson has extensive experience working with ADHD, autism, anger management, and numerous other domains. He favors a step by step approach to overcoming life’s challenges using a combination of practical skills and cognitive reframing.

Tracy Mahmoud, NCC, LPC, CCTP-II is a licensed professional counselor and holds certifications in trauma and autism intervention. Tracy specializes in providing outpatient therapy for children and adolescents dealing with life transitions, depression, anxiety, social interaction difficulties, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and trauma. Tracy is passionately committed to professional development, teaching self-advocacy, and utilizing a client-centered approach to counseling. Kylie earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Duquesne University, is licensed through the Pennsylvania Board of Medicine as a Behavior Specialist, and is a Nationally Certified Counselor. Kylie’s knowledge is the result of her experiences including: Working in Penn State University’s Neuropsychology Research lab, where she co-authored several journal articles; working with people of all ages and backgrounds, including LGBTQIA+, experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship issues at a local non-profit; and most recently working with children and families struggling with communication, coping skills, social skills, and emotional dysregulation as a Behavior Consultant and Mobile Therapist in IBHS.

Rachael Johnston, LPC is a licensed professional counselor and holds a certification in anger management. Stephanie Proctor, M.A. is a doctoral candidate in psychology at Carlow University. Stephanie graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and Special Education with a minor in Psychology. In 2019, she graduated with her Master of Education in Special Education with a graduate certificate track in Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Prior to going back to school for her doctorate, Stephanie worked as a special education teacher administering assessments, creating education plans, utilizing de-escalation techniques, and implementing interventions.
Stephanie is interested in working with children, adolescents, and adults with a range of symptoms relating to depression, anxiety, ASD, ODD, ADHD, other behavioral concerns, trauma, grief, and postpartum. She believes in an integrative approach to therapy to meet the diverse needs of her clients.

Melissa Bonicky, M.Ed., NCC, CSC, is passionate about creating a safe space of empathy and non-judgment to assist individuals and families in overcoming life’s challenges. She has extensive experience working with children, teens, and adults in various capacities over her 26-year career in education. Melissa adapts her work to the needs of each client. Melissa works collaboratively to assist individuals in developing their own “toolbox” to overcome behavioral health challenges. Katelyn Carter is a student intern at Robert Morris University. Katelyn attended Robert Morris University for her Bachelor’s in general psychology. She is currently working on her Master’s in Counseling Psychology, and working to earn her LPC after she graduates. Katelyn will be providing outpatient and school-based counseling services for children and adolescents under 18 years old. She plans on continuing working at Psychology and Learning Center after graduation.
Brittany is a dedicated clinical mental health counselor who holds a BA from Virginia State University in Mass Communications and later went on to pursue an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in School Counseling from Geneva College. Brittany has over 5 years of experience working as a high school counselor and intern experience spanning all levels of K-12 education, Brittany brings a wealth of expertise to her practice.

Denise Houser is a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois. She is a graduate of Geneva College’s MA in Counseling program, obtained her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at Regent University, and also works as a professor in a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health program at a small midwestern university. Denise specializes in trauma and counseling those in the helping professions. She only sees clients through telemental health at this time.
Gina M. Gordon, Ph.D, LPC, NCC, is a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania and a National Certified Counselor. She provides individual counseling to children and adolescents with depression, anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and ADHD. Additionally, Dr. Gordon is certified as a school counselor and specializes in supporting and empowering youth who may be experiencing difficulties with academic, career, social, and emotional development. Dr. Gordon works closely with parents/guardians to ensure they have resources to help their children grow into the best version of themselves. She received her B.A. in Elementary and Special Education from Mercyhurst University, M.Ed. in School Counseling from Slippery Rock University, and Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Duquesne University. Dr. Gordon is a professional member of the American School Counselor Association, Pennsylvania School Counselors Association, and the American Counseling Association. She serves on the Lawrence County PA Suicide Prevention Coalition. She is a certified trainer for the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program.
Allison Oaks, M.S., LDN, LPC is a licensed professional counselor and EMDR therapist who specializes in treating children, adolescents, and adults dealing with trauma and eating disorders as well as anxiety, depression, family/peer conflicts, and adjustment. Allison is recognized as a reiki master and incorporates energy healing into her therapeutic approach. Allison is also a registered dietician. She received her B.S. in Exercise Science at University of Pittsburgh and M.S. in Counseling at Carlow University.
Tom Knapp, M.A. is a pre-licensed therapist. He earned his B.A. in Psychology from Westminster College and M.A. in Clinical-Community Psychology from the Indiana University of Pa. Tom prefers a positive and strength-based approach in interventions and seeks to find connections to supportive resources in the community. Tom has extensive experience working with children both as a Mobile Therapist (MT) and Behavior Specialist Consultant (BSC) and has also worked with juveniles and their families as a therapist in a Multisystemic Therapy program. He specializes in supporting individuals diagnosed with pervasive mental illnesses such as Schizophrenia and Intellectual Disabilities, but also enjoys working with teens and adults diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, anxiety, and depression as well as supporting individuals diagnosed Autism Spectrum Disorder adjust to life‘s demands
Dr. Purewal is a board-certified general psychiatrist with over 20 years of psychiatric experience across a variety of clinical settings. He completed medical school through Saba University School of Medicine. Dr. Purewal completed his psychiatry training at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine-Department of Psychiatry.
Geena Edmonds, MSPAS, PA-C, CAQ-Psych is a board-certified and licensed physician assistant practicing in psychiatry. She has worked in child and adult psychiatry in the outpatient setting. She is dedicated to patient-centered care and enjoys working with patients of all ages and backgrounds. Geena received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Pittsburgh. She has published research papers about depression interventions in populations with cancer diagnoses. She enjoys training physician assistant students. Geena is a member of the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants
Dr. Dixon is a psychiatric nurse practitioner who sees children and adults. He received his B.S.N at Penn State University and Doctor of Nursing Practice in Psychiatry at Robert Morris University.
Jennifer Cornman is our dedicated and compassionate registered nurse. She received her degree through Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. She has fifteen years of nursing experience in a variety of medical settings which include inpatient pediatric and trauma care, home health, and primary care. She was also cross-trained in the Obstetric Unit and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Jennifer’s passion is mental health, and she has worked with children, adolescents, and adults. She has a special interest in caring for our underserved population and works collaboratively with our psychologists, therapists, medical staff, and administration to provide continuity of care.
